With the construction of an 80 meter long CPS +, Dieffenbacher sets a record for the world's longest continuous press for the production of wood-based panels.

The press is the heart of an MDF plant that the Chinese wood-based panel manufacturer Guangxi Lelin Forestry Development Co., Ltd. ordered from Dieffenbacher in July.

Wei Mingkuai, CEO of Guangxi Lelin, is pleased about the renewed cooperation: "We are planning nothing less than the construction of the largest MDF plant in the world and are very happy that we have Dieffenbacher as a partner at our side again."

Guangxi Lelin had already ordered a high-speed THDF system for its location in Nanning from Dieffenbacher in June 2018, which produces sheets up to 1 mm thick and was put into operation in October 2019.

“We are extremely satisfied with the performance of our THDF line and the support by Dieffenbacher before, during and after the construction of the system. They have paid back in full the trust we have placed in them, ”continued Wei Mingkuai. “True to the motto 'Never change a winning team', Dieffenbacher was the logical choice for our new project. We look forward to deepening the partnership."

In addition to the CPS +, the large Dieffenbacher scope of supply extends from the fiber sifter to the storage system. Highlights are the state-of-the-art automation and control systems with which the MDF line meets the highest demands of digitization.

The plant with the largest press in the world is to be built from the second quarter of 2021 in the southern Chinese city of Chongzuo, not far from the border with Vietnam. Commissioning is planned for autumn 2021.
