The declining trend in Lithuanian roundwood prices which started in April continues in May, though prices for almost all assortments are well above last year. Sawlog are cheaper over April by between € 0,58- € 1,45 per cubic meter, with only one exception, alder, which has gained a small price increase.
On the other hand, on a yearly basis in May almost all roundwood prices in Lithuania are higher, apart from alder sawlogs (-5.41%) and birch pulpwood (0%). Pine and spruce sawlogs are more expensive by 10,78% and 16,59%, meanwhile pine and spruce pulpwood prices have increased somewhere close to 20%.
