Sweden's Mellanskog increased prices for pulpwood and timber effective 7 March 2022. The adjustment means that the basic price list is increased by SEK 20 / m3fub for timber and pulpwood. The increase is the same for all tree species and the same over all geographies in Mellanskog's area of activity.

“Rapidly rising energy and fuel prices increase the cost of producing forest raw materials. This development in combination with strong demand from the forest industry in Sweden and Europe justifies a price adjustment,” says Fredrik Munter, Mellanskog's CEO.

Timber prices at a high and stable level are part of Mellanskog's membership benefit. Mellanskog owns half of the wood industry company Setra Group and, as an economic association, has the opportunity to pay both interest on the members' share capital and post-payment on delivered timber.

Mellanskog is a forest owners' association in Sweden. Mellanskog is a full-service company that offers everything from felling, forest management, forest consulting and planning to financial services together with partners.
